Funded by the GIZ Takaful Grant, and in cooperation between Manzul Charity Association (Germany) and the Al-Taawon Association for Care and Development (Syria), the activities of the “Bridges of Peace” project have launched in the city of Al-Qaryatayn in the Homs countryside.

Through a series of cultural, social, and youth-led activities and events, the project aims to:

• Promote social cohesion within the city.

• Improve communication between diverse religious and social groups.

• Empower youth and women, enhancing their role in the community.

• Contribute to overcoming the impacts of conflict.

• Consolidate the values of mutual understanding, coexistence, and social stability.

The project is expected to benefit 3,835 individuals from the city and its surrounding countryside.

Project activities run from November 2025 until the end of October 2026.
